Wanted - albin 28 TE

Post by Motoxracer309 »

Looking for an Albin 28 TE. Price range around 35k.. max 45k. Any leads would also be appreciated. I’m located in Maine, so I’ll consider most anything in the northeast.
Calls or email anytime.

Thanks,

Robert

Robert - Welcome to the forum. Unfortunately it’s looking like I may have to sell Muddy Duck. I am having to move my family from Maryland to Greenville, SC. Was going to keep our Albin but it’s all lakes down there and no Diesel on the lakes. Thought about keeping her in Charleston but that is a 3 hour drive from Greenville so looking like I’m going to have to sell. Muddy Duck is a 1998 28TE w Peninsular motor (approx. 1600 hours). Green awlgrip and has transom door. Currently at the Boat yard getting bottom paint, detail, maintenance, etc. to get ready for the season. She has older electronics and needs new canvas so I’m willing to sell within your price range. Message me if you’re interested and I’ll send you a few pictures.

Josh go ahead and send me some pics and some info on the boat. Maryland would be quite a haul for me but it doesn’t hurt to atleast look. For the right price could be worth while. Feel free to text me the pics or email me.

I bought an Albin 28TE 6 months ago: 2001 Motor Box Model.
Spent much more than $50k.
Love the boat. Would not sell it for less than $90k.
I learned long time ago not to get the cheapest boat, or the cheapest parachute on the market.
2001 28TE, 6LP-STE, 1,337 hrs, 19X18 four-blade wheel.

Did you want to come down and take a ride on Muddy Duck? She will be back on the water next week and my boat would fit in your price range as it is a 1998. Let me know.

I have a 2000 28 with a brand new Yanmar purchased from Yanmar last year. Cost of the engine is $ 43,000. so not willing to sell for anything less that 90K Cdn. or about 67 or 68 U.S. Has Radar, GpS and autopilot

I bought my 2006 28 flush deck with only 295 hours. Real super clean for 92k. Boat up in NE tend be 10% higher than down south. My online research indicated to me that average price for good 28 TE was about 80k. I think 30-50 k is going to be rough and hard used or abused!
