Keel Crushed by boat yard

Post by Ssousa »

Quick question guys and gals. I bought a 37 Palm Beach last year. Hauled the boat last month so that I would soda blast the bottom, take care of a few blister, barrier coat and paint the bottom. as I was removing a thru hull tansducer today I noticed the hull at the keel was deflecting under the center block. I seems the boat yard did not insure the blocks were making contact at all point and the center block is supporting most of the load.
has anyone had this happen to them in the past? if so, what did you do?
I informed the boat yard and unfortunately it seems as though they will attempt to worm out of this.

Get your insurance involved asap. Best if left as is until insurance inspects...
