I had a furuno fcv 628 installed in my 28 te and i have a raymarine c120wide in dash which also has a sounder the installer told me he was disconnecting the sounder to my 120w because using both would cause interferance on the furuno I asked about a splitter he said it was a bad idea any advice would be very helpful

My experience:

I currently have a Furuno 628 and a Furuno TZ Touch and one tranducer with an Airmar switching box and toggle on the helm to switch between screens.

On my 28 I had two sounders and two independent transducers with zero interference issues. One sounder was the legacy Furuno 627 with it's ducer mounted 8 inches port of center line ahead of the transmission and the digital Raymarine sounder had it's transducer a few feet starboard of the center line accessed under the starboard cockpit hatch. Zero interference with these locations, but the raymarine ducer would drop out at speed and chop.
