Depth sensor

Post by Casco Bay »

Where have you guys found the best place to mount a transducer to give reliable readings at speed. I have heard they can be difficult to locate well on the 28. Any ideas?

Congratulations on the new boat and welcome to the AOG. Are you engine box or flushdeck?

Last spring there was a good discussion regarding this on the 28. Here is the thread ... viewtopic.php?f=27&t=2305&hilit=transducer I mounted the new AirMar angled ducer forward of the engine close to the centerline, port side as instructed by Airmar. The photos by RobS will show the location. All last season I never dropped a sounding at any speed .... good luck.
