Allied wire http://www.awcwire.com seems to have everything. You would have to call them for what you are looking for, but they do have 'Flat Multi-Conductor Marine Cable' listed in 2 and 3 conductor 8-18 ga. I found them trying to find a deal on SEOOW 6/3 shore power cable.

DougSea wrote:So, mystery solved. The wire on Sonny was sourced from Cobra Wire and Cable (cobrawire.com) in Hatboro, PA!
What was the result of your inquiry with CobraWire and how did this turn out?

Do you have a guesstimate on the lengths & types you ordered? Thanks

Much to my very great frustration the hunt continues. While I did get in touch with Cobra I have not had any luck with finding a distributor. They gave me a couple of suggestions but the responses were less than helpful. I may try one more time with Cobra to see if they can point me at someone more helpful.

Does anyone here know anybody at a boat manufacturer? :)

Now that I think about it I'm going to talk to the yard manager at Brewers. Maybe they have better contacts.

Doug, why don't you buy the single colors that you want (blue & yellow) from West or Defender marine and be done with it?

I know it exists. I know who makes it. WHY CAN'T I BUY IT?!?

Dirty Harry once said "that a man has to know his limitations". Good luck with your search grasshopper. Since color coding is a standard, why not call up a manufacturer and ask to speak to someone in purchasing. Perhaps, they could assist you in your quest and advise you where they buy their wire.

I'm planning on calling Sabre - I'm betting I can get help from them! And maybe C&C - weren't they the ones that bought the TE moulds?

FWIW, my source for boat cable when I did my rewire project back in early 2016 was "Bestboatwire.com"

http://www.bestboatwire.com/

Good selection, good prices in my experience.
