Change of steering wheel on A25

Post by matt_s »

Has anyone changed their steering wheel? Do you know if it has 3/4" taper with some sort of spline which seems to be standard nowadays?

I took mine off and it looks really weird, it looks like some sort of plastic adapter on the shaft?

It's a standard 3/4" splined taper shaft. Many wheels are bored for a larger shaft and come with a 3/4" adapter.

That's good, then I should be able to remove that big plastic adapter which sits on the shaft and then just mount the new wheel!
