Ok, latest pictures of inside stern tube. I did run a hone in it a bit. There are some craters in it and some staining. Being color blind I’m not sure if any pink is showing or any signs of dezincification.
Any opinions?

Update: it seems the discoloration is debris stuck it cavities I assume are there because of rough casting. I expected it would be a smooth bore inside stern tube, but not so. After digging at a couple of the dark spots it reveals clean bronze so I should be good to go installing my new shaft finally.
