Don or JT have you replaced your wiper motors? Pantograph? What did you replace the (AFI?) original motors with?

I have mine, and might reuse, but Don has a good post here, A27 Helm Station Wiper Thread, about a replacement that looks better. I haven't gotten to rebuild yet, but its coming. I will take some pictures of the originals and post when I can.

Here's the original wiper motors. Little rough but they work. I bench tested them, but what's the third wire for. There's + - And one labeled S. What happens with the S wire?

I'm missing arms and blades.

The stamped side says "YJ". On the stainlessside it reads 35040.

The third wire is usually the 'Park' wire - So it stops all the way to one side

Thanks Don. Because I'm missing my arms and wipers I have to pick new ones. I have an old blade which looks like 11" long. But how long is the arm?

I have no idea - The motors, arms and blades were all missing from my boat when I bought it

I used a pantograph setup with adjustable arms. For a given sweep arc, you adjusted the arms longer or shorter to get the bade to come as close to both sides as possible. The parallel pantograph arms keep the blade vertical, so it can come very close to both sides without hitting. With a standard single arm the bottom tip of your blade will be the only thing that comes close to the sides and you'll need to juggle the length of the arm and the length of the blade to get the widest sweep without the blade hitting either side

Hopefully someone here with the OEM wiper motor (I imagine it has a single, fixed sweep angle) can tell you what arm and blade combination will work best for you

I don't think a 1" would work - The pilothouse is too thick. I bought 2" units. Looking at JT's pictures, it looks like you need about 1 1/2"
