Hello all, I am a new member and a new owner of an Albin 28 TE. I picked up an I/O with a Volvo 230hp diesel. I am planning on trailering this to different locals to do trips on and one day would love to do the Dow east loop. I currently have a Dyer 29 I was planning on using for this purpose, but the difficulty of launching a keel boat without a lot of help has moved me in this direction. I do have a question that I hope someone can answer. Do the 28TE’s have a single fuel tank or 2 in series? My fuel tank has the id tag on it and states it is an 85 gallon tank. Everything I see says it should be.a 130 gallon tank. I don’t know if this is because it is an I/O or if it sisters with another tank. Thanks for any help.

Welcome aboard!
What model year is your boat?
The standard tankage has been 132 gallons on quite a few boats, with an optional aux tank of some 30 gallons. (No idea where it was located but I would like to ad the aux tank on my 2001 boat if possible)
If your boat was an early model, perhaps 85 gallons. Was standard then? (Or another tank is hidden somewhere under deck if you are lucky  ) :)
2001 28TE, 6LP-STE, 1,337 hrs, 19X18 four-blade wheel.

My Albin is a 1995. It has the optional transom door and it has a hard wall sliding door on the cockpit cabin. The tank on this boat is located the area where the engine would be on a regular inboard. Also, where is the water heater for these boats. Thanks Randy

The water heater is in the compartment below the helm, probably almost directly below the steering wheel. Grab a flashlight, open the center hatch, and climb in. You'll be amazed at all the stuff down there.
