New guy Buzzards Bay (cape Cod) Massachusetts

Post by Wfmdfm »

First boat(wish I could go back) 8ft with the Elgin 3.5HP age 12. Then on to the 12 ft runabout with the 25HP Johnston age 14. Moved up to the 14 ft Glasstron with the 60HP Johnston ( never ran good at all)age 16. Done with that 18ft Larson with the 120HP Merc I/o age 20. That wasn't cutting it once kids were involved. The next 25 yrs we had the 26 Welcraft with 365 HP I/o age 34. Kids are grown and we are thinking retirement. Back in the day when I started my 401K I told my wife all I want when I cash this out is a nice boat for retirement. So now in the market for the Albin 28 with engine box. Age 59. Bring it ON !!!
This is a great site. Learning plenty and already can tell all the repairs that are in my future
We are located in Massachusetts and boat in Buzzards Bay and Cape Cod and the islands.

Welcome to the form, sounds like quite a progression of boats. Albin makes boats you can keep for a lifetime, we moved to ours from a sail boat. Hope you find the one you want, do your due diligence, it will work out.
