John:

That sounds like a great trip. Do you need some crew?

All:
I just signed up this AM at EIM and tendered my deposit. Ric & Karen will be there by hook or by crook. Perhaps an armada from Narragansett Bay should be organized?

Ric, why do you ask, do you know someone competent you could recommend to him?

Rob - Yes they did say all the Albins would be together in the back marina - "be careful of the shuttle ferry ! "

Garth & Kim,
Excellent, I added you to the list at the top of this thread. I spoke with EIM yesterday, 7 boats are confirmed as reserved and paid to date.

HIDEAWEIGH will be coming from Westbrook, CT. or maybe somewhere else as we'll be leaving Block the week before. Ann and Dave aboard. See you all.

I was speaking with EIM today to inquire about the boats reserved to date and pushing back our deadline for keeping the "B-Floater." I will receive updated paperwork in the next couple of weeks and will post the details of same upon receipt.

When speaking with EIM they advised that one of the reseerved boats is named TACHYON. I do not recall this name, sorry if I missed you. I tried the search tool and could not get a hit on the site.

Please reply with your member ID and names.

Thank You and again, sorry if I missed you in a prior post.

Hello, Ray. Good to hear from you and glad to hear you will be making the trip down, it will be nice to see a familiar face. So who do you plan on bringing along (and then leaving behind :D ) this year :?:

Thank you for posting & I see that was your 1st post. So I did not miss you elsewhere on the site. Welcome to the site. A CB45, 16ft beam, wow, and I thought the 28's shrunk last year thanks to the 31 Joint Venture. Very Important: No giving tours of your cabin to the wives of the TE28 owners, they will likely become claustrophobic and miserable when returning aboard their boats....

Kevin,

Where are you planning to stop on the way? I HIGHLY recommend that you spend the first night at the Kingman Yacht Center at the West end of the CC Canal. Why? 2 reasons. The first is that Buzzards Bay heading SW is a notoriously snotty piece of water that seems endless at the end of a long day. The reports will be "afternoon sea breezes, 2-3 foot chop" and you will figure "go for it". You will get half way and think "get me the f%^k out of this" and there are few good places to stop, you are committed. I heard about this phenom my whole life and then did exactly what I am advising you not to do on the way back from Boston last year and payed the price. You want to overnight at Kingman and hit Buzzard's Bay at dawn when it is as quiet as it can be. Oh, and the bar, the Chartroom, at Kingmans is great! Order the lobster salad on a Portugese Roll (not on the menu) and have a mudslide or 2 for desert. You will not be sorry unless you order the 3d mudslide. Trust me on that one too!

Of course we'd love to have you stop in Wickford (300 years old this year) even though it's a bit out of the way. The water is usually pretty flat here in Narragansett bay, and there is plenty of services like hot showers and real beds at 13 Elm Drive.
