New format?

This new format is horrible IMO. Images are out of focus.

I think it is great, nice and clean and finally I'm seeing that there are PMs when I sign in. Let's give John a chance to get it running smoothly, and since he does most, if not all of the technical work here (I think) I think it is his decision to make and I'm sure he's making it the best he can.

Anything John does I support 100%. Let's be patient. This change-up is no small thing and it is his baby! I was still finding new stuff in the old format so a new format with improvements is fine with me. Now I'll go see how bad the pictures are,

Jay is a long time member and contributor that speaks his mind and gives me honest opinion. I appreciate everyone's comments.
This new look is better formatted for mobile devices. I, for one, am not a fan of trying view sites on my iPhone and still prefer my laptop. But, there are those that use their phones for everything.

John, I prefer a computer as well with a real keyboard. I love change, but many sites are becoming mobile-friendly at the expense of efficiency on a computer. Lots more scrolling and too much white space.

After moving to another forum I can't find the "new posts" link that I loved to use. I get it a new versipn of php progress moves forward. I'll get use to it. But I still hate change.

For new posts, select Quick links at the upper left. A link to New Posts is on that menu.

Just got a message that a post I made had too few characters, in bold red. It posted anyway. Shape of things to come, or minor glitch? (This post has fewer characters than that one. Let's see if I get it again.)

LOL Are you finished John?
It is better today without those pictures.
I just tried on my iPhone and at first the old format came up, but after I did a page reload I got the new one.
I'll try this for a few days and advise MY opinion.

Wow - maybe I'm the strange one, but I think this format will grow on people. It is a lot cleaner, but I agree with Nancy et al about the "New Posts" notifications, it was a very useful guide.

Question: What is the "too few characters" error message about?

I'm sure the quality of the Albineer posts will remain consistently useful.

I will be posting pix of "Mazboot's" new engine mounts, redone HX, RW Filter, engine room smarten up and wiring bits soon, before launching in Mid-May ( Have to go to San Diego for a couple of weeks, so cant launch early May as planned).

Hope to have something to show at Chesapeake Rendezvous in June.

Hi Doug -

There's still a New Posts notification - it's at the upper right - the little bell icon to the left of your name. In addition, the Quick Links menu at the upper left contains some very useful links.
