They should of dipped the eye of the mooring line, but I must make a note of never buying a used car from Grease, all that salt water would not do them any good...

Not my idea of fun! I wouldn't even want to try to land a dinghy in those conditions.

Not sure how the 27FC handles, but the A25 will back more or less straight with minimal prop walk. Won't turn worth a darn in reverse, but you can do short rudder kicks in forward to get the stern to point where you want it, and with a little sternway on it will respond to rudder input some, but not much.

Enjoy reading your tomes; always useful. Regarding A27 handling; pretty much as you say - point the stern sort of where you want it to go, then make adjustments with short forward bursts. And have a boat hook handy. If the wind is blowing all bets are off for me, but I'm sure there are Albineers who have this mastered.
