Fresh Water System Leak-Lesson learned!

Since it all adds up to about 25 gallons total on the WillieC, I'm with you.

I think it's closer to 15 gallon fresh water capacity in the A25 forepeak tank, plus whatever extra brought along in jugs and/or jerry cans. 100 gallons would sure be nice!

Well I measured my tanks just now and I am also in for a surprise.
52 x 24 x 15.5 inches x 2 comes out to (approx.) 170 gallons, not the 220 I thought I had.
Bottom line is after owning the boat for 11 seasons, I guess we have our water usage figured out regardless.

What conservation of cosmic energy is the use of an apostrophe instead of the actual letter that is just as easy to either type, or set in type for printing? Just to sound boaty? (Don't even start me on fo'c's'l.) Curious. Maybe they were trying to invent texting 300 years ago.

Steve, I have the Super Deluxe A25 version, previously noted elsewhere on AOG, which has an ADDITIONAL 12 gallon tank under the P't* seat (settee?) for a grand total of 27 gallons of potable water, if you vacuum all the air space at top of the tanks. I can pump THREE strokes on the foot pump when I brush my teeth and not even THINK about it.

* P't is boaty shortening for "port" which is short for "left". Say what?

Reminds me of the extended stays on the hook at Block Island with our 28TE when even the ice melt from the cooler was contained and repurposed...

Well, I know who to ask if I run short. Quick anecdote: Our first cruise in the San Juans was a 7 day charter in 2011. Six of us were on a 40 foot Jeanneau sailboat which had 2 x 60 gallon water tanks, three cabins & two heads with showers. Most of us knew better, but there was one newbie land lubber along who didn't know better & took Hollywood showers & we all wondered why we ran out of 120 gallons of water in 3 days.
