The picture is of the controller for the air heaters which you can disconnect (be sure to not leave 12V "hanging around") and continue on. I notice it is cooked pretty good. Looks like the controller failed but if you abandon the setup for now or forever should not be an issue. If you follow the two heavy leads one goes to the heater elements. How do they look? Could they be leaking air?

RobS thanks so much you were dead on. It did Idle higher than usual, however, We made the 9 day trip without incident and most of all without worry. Simply disconnected the snap fuse, thanks again.

Glad to hear you were able to continue with your float plan. We're sitting on a mooring in Newport and have ZERO interest in heading back to LI in the morning.. at least the conditions will be superb..

Well I figured out where my problems originated from. After a rough ride back from being offshore, My port side air intake's plastic angled splash guard had cracked and broke, which let salt water to douse my port engine. the result was an engine covered in salt which shorted the air heater, corroded the throttle cable etc. If anyone has seen or knows where to look that could buy a replacement would be appreciated. thanks.

Looks like a Vetus vent and the broken piece is the Dorade box. This isn't uncommon.
I purchased replacements for mine from Jamestown Distributors.

They reason these break is primarily due to the installation where the vent is stressed (twisted) when
attached to an uneven surface of the hull. The replacements seem to be a bit more tolerant but do not
rely on the adhesive strip alone as it will pull off over time. Drill and attach the new box with a few screws as well.

Vetus makes a better model. Look on their web site. I will try to remember to post a picture tomorrow
