Mast foot for ALBIN VEGA

Post by Albin Vega SOL »

Hi everybody!

A new sailor and proud companion of an old Albin Vega. Nr 19 to be more specific. I have come to seek guidance from you (hopefully) wise people! Im new to sailing and this is my first boat. So lets be fair. Ill probably have som lingo off.

So three months ago i bought a run down, scrapyard Albin Vega. I blew life into her during some weeks and as soon as i she was ready. We set sail towards the med (from Sweden).

So,right now im in the french waterways, going south towards Marseilles. Its unmasted and the mast sits on X's. yesterday gods were not on my side. And my engine died suddenly and with a slight current and no power we took the first life line offered. In a very hectic towing situation the mastfoot got knocked overboard.

Im arriving in Marseilles and will be ready to set sail again within 3 days. And i have no Mastfoot.

Does anybody have any input or support to offer in this ?
