Replacing Peninsular Engine Water Pump

Post by Froggy »

I have a 1993 28 TE with Peninsular engine. Has anyone changed the water pump in theirs? It appears that you have to take off the heat exchanger and the spacer between pump and engine to access the back bolts but I wanted to verify?

Thanks.

I have not, but we had ours all knocked down to get to the injector pump and I learned something from peninsular. They said to be certain to get the peninsular version of that pump as it is bored out and has a larger impeller than a factory gm version. Which looks and is identical in all other ways.
