2009 Albin 28 TE Express Builder Question

Post by Kimotee »

There were some questions about who built this boat in 2009. With just a little more digging, found the answer in an old listing for this boat

Albin 28's have had a series of builders and in 2009 this boat was one of the last ones built by Blanden Composites of Blandenboro N.C. before they suddenly went bankrupt. The Albin 28 continues to be a very popular yacht and the boats that are well maintained are still sought after by knowledgeable yachtsmen looking for the perfect boat.

The good news is that this boat was built right and has the flush deck layout and Cummins/Mercruiser diesel engine and the current owners and the previous owners have done an excellent job of taking care of the boat and equipping it with the right equipment for safe navigation.

Does anybody know anything about Blanden Composites built Albin boats?
