Windshield paint peeling 2003 28 TE

Post by SCHOOLIE »

The paint has peeled on my 2003 28TE windshield. I am sure this has happened to others. Any advice on how you restored the window frames?? Thanks in advanced, Arthur

Yes, been there done that:
Check out my thread: “Modifications, repairs and improvements, 28TE”
I tried a few things, including getting $12k to $20k estimates for replacing the corroded window frames.
Needless to say, I did not go that route.
Happy to help, but read the thread first.

I sanded the peeling areas, taped them and used Rustoleum white gloss and it held up fine.

Yearwood, Did you use a primer before applying the Rustoleum? I'm planning to do my window frames soon. Thanks!
