Full detail after I boat the boat 3 years ago took 73 hours.
The boat was badly oxidized, the expert started with wet sanding, then
compound, polish and wax.
He billed me $1,600.
Follow up detailing has been in the $700-800 range as no wet sanding was needed, but still 3 days work.

Same here Dag. At first I bulked at the price but my guy was there forever! I can tell you the whole boat takes me two full weekends when I do it

Ouch - right, thats it. I am moving to the states to work on boats because I think I know now where I can make my fortune!

3 days?! it takes me around 6 hours from the rub rail down so not a full detail and I am not the best handler of a polishing mop!

I believe I was getting quoted $300 / ft down here in southern cal for rubrail down job. Maybe $350. Mind you, we do have very stringent air quality regs and high labor rates so that may factor in.
