Albin Decals

Post by rcornejo »

Hellow Everyone,

Sorry if you have seen a post like this before but I could not find anything when I did my search. Also, please forgive me if I post this in the wrong area. On my last post, I was told that I posted my information it in the wrong category. I was wondering if anyone knew of a place that I can order decals for my 1997 28 TE. Mine does not have any and didn't know if that model did not have them. Any help would be appreciated.

Respectfully,

Roland

I was going to "cut" new ones from black vinyl - - take photo of one and take to a decal printer. If it turns out OK, will let you know.

Aside from taking it on yourself, which will work and is rather expensive for a run of 2, don't forget the Albin dealer network specifically Standish Boat Yard in Tiverton, RI. As the 28 is in production by C&C .... they must have somewhat of a supply or have access to them. Make some calls.

Matt (mhanna) had a boat lettering outfit here on LI make his up. His original set were all red and he wanted them re-done in blue. I will PM him with a link to this thread so he can provide the vendor's contact info. They said they would keep the specs in case other members needed them made up. They will make them up in any color and I think he paid $40 a side? Don't recall exactly.

I had these people make up the logo that Rob pictured above, it came out very well.

The blue I had them make it up with matched the color of my transom lettering, but I am sure they can use more of a dark navy blue if you wish.

Thanks everyone for the information. The only thing I need now is to see if anyone knows what the size of the decal is. I found somone who is willing to do it for free as a bonus to ordering my name but he needs to know the dimensions. Any help would be really appreciated. I don't have an old one on my boat to look at.

Hey Matt!

Have you been hiding? :)

I replied to your PM about the heading sensor a while ago. Just got the cable in, I'll let you know how it goes.

And to stay sort of on topic...since I'm not (totally) highjacking this thread - Does anyone know the story behind the logo? Is the red thingy a star? The North Star? Something else? Never thought about it until I was looking at Matt's graphic file.

Matt & Rob ... not that "mine" need replacing, but what a great reasonable source.

I'm not sure if they're still interested, but I just shot out an email to that website to see if they could still make me a set. Mind are tired.

I need a pair as well.
Navy Blue be perfect, especially with silver contrast to fit my bow numbers and my transom name/hailing port.
Great timing.

I could use a pair too for my new (to us) Albin 32+2. I can't find the supplier on eBay who sold me a pair five years ago for the princely sum of $14.
