Wow! That looks fantastic Kevin! Appreciate you sharing the pics...

I reached out yesterday to Flexiteek yesterday and they put me in touch with a local installer. I'll keep everyone posted on the process.

Thanks,

I know I'll like the product.... it's the price tag that has me nervous! (Still waiting for the local installer to get back to me).

We did the cockpit and 2 steps to the side deck as well as the swim platform and the cost was $6800. We went with the “Scrubbed teak” with off white cool teak it matches the topsides. Very happy so far and it doesn’t seem to get very hot.

The "Scrubbed Teak" looks really good Makai...

I have 2 companies (subs) coming out provide me a quote - Flexitee.com and Permateek.com. The products look very similar, it will be interesting to see them in person versus online.

The guy who came out to show me SeaDek was supposed to provide me an official quote last Friday... he has yet to provide me that quote. Not a great first impression. :(

Anthony be sure to ask about how hot it gets, some products we looked at get so hot in the sun it’s uncomfortable to stand on with bare feet. We found the Flexiteak cool deck was the best, we went to the in water boat show and actually walked on many different products that were installed on the different boats.

I can vouch for the flexiteek. The pictures I posted earlier in this thread were in 32°c to 35°c temps and my kids were walking on it bare foot.

I put Plasdek down below. I love it i used the template material they supply and they pre cut it. I thought it was pretty easy to install if you are handy. Cost me about 1100 which i thought was very reasonable.

Well the quotes are in and Flexiteek came in at about $5,500 for the cockpit of my 28' TE, Permateek was about 1/2 the price. Surprised the quotes are so far apart. Still need to see some samples of the Permateek product.

Does anyone have any input on the Permateek decking?
