Instrument cover holdup brace

Post by Doug »

The metal brace that folds in the middle, and hold up the instrument cover on our 32+2 has gone bad.
Anyone know what that is called and where I can get a replacement? This item is somewhat like a hatch support arm, but it folds in the middle.

Thanks

I don't know if you found what you were looking for, but my 32+2 has spring supports for the helm cover. When strait /opened, spring holds up panel, deflect spring to start it bending and it allows cover to drop and close..
There are a pair of them. Measure extended length of current arm to find specific replacement size.
The following link is to a sample of what I have (not necessarily the size you need):

My whaler also has this type of support on anchor hatches
