stuffing box on 2000 32+2 CB

Post by mynextboat »

I'm looking at the above referenced boat and would like to know how accessible the stuffing box is. I've heard horror stories of having to pull the engine in order to service/maintain it. I really like this boat but I do not want to expose myself to a major headache and expense.
Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

We bought a 2000 CB 32+2 just about a year ago to the day. And we love it. The stuffing box is located well aft of the engine. It's sunk pretty deep, but it certainly can be accessed without pulling the engine. I would show photos, but they are on my computer at home, and I am away for a few more days.
