I can't share anything about the boat, but I'm sure it's owned by Fred Peters / Albin Marine and brokered by R C YS. There's a match for you. The price looks attractive.

Fred is set-up in his old Albin Corporate office in Cos Cob which is a stones throw from the water in Greenwich. Made in Taiwan like all of the other Albins over 35 feet which he still controls. Check out some threads on the North Sea Cutter for build info on the Taiwan boats.

I don't know how many were built -- I doubt it's more than 10, maybe as few as four or five.

I remember going aboard a 45 at a boat show, and a candid broker told me the first few came from Taiwan with serious construction issues, and Albin ended up having to do a lot of rebuild/repair work on them.

I always thought the 45 was a neat boat, sort of a 32+2 on steroids. I never liked the V-drive on my 35 CB, but the 35 CB and 45Cb would be perfect candidates for IPS drives. I wonder why the 45 CB that's been sitting in Greenwich unsold for so many years never sold. I assume the engines would be subject to problems after sitting for years and not being run. Bring in a first-class surveyor if you are interested in one, and assume you'll run into problems.

Perhaps I can shed a little light on one of the Albin 45s. In September 2016 we purchased a 2007, Albin Gulf Harbor, 45. It is a sedan flybridge style boat. It is my understanding from our broker, that three hulls were made before "Gulf Harbor, Inc." ceased operations and Albin used the hull molds to create the Command Bridge Models. To date, we have never found the other two boats and have discovered little else other than the marine architech who was Bill Ma.

"Rhapsody"'s specifications:
Length: 45
Beam: 16' 3
Draft: 4'
Engines: Twin Yanmar 370s
Fuel: 800 gallons
Water: 150
Holding: 70

Hope this helps. By the way, my wife and I love the boat.
