2004 35 CB -increased storage area modifications

Post by Deedee »

We bought our 2004 35 CB the beginning of the year. Coming from a Brewer 44 Sailboat with an abundance of storage and refrigeration/freezer space I had to figure out how to make our new boat work smarter for us. Thank goodness we immediately went to the So. Florida Albin rendezvous in April where my head was spinning from seeing so many great ideas. We hired a carpenter and he went to work. This post will address the port side interior changes. Just FYI.

First - the little area under the slider cabinet on the port side in the v-birth was nice but I had an idea that worked for us.

Second - the stool under the desk was not being used so I used the space for a cabinet where all my cooking pots and pans are stored. Along with pasta drainer, etc. It's WONDERFUL! And the stool is now in my house.

Third - our wall mounted Mr. Coffee pot (which is standard on our boats) stopped working. You can't find these units anymore so we got a little one that makes four cups and store it on one of our new cabinets. Our glasses now have a home.

Absolutely, that is fine work. IMO nothing is better than keeping the original look and you've surely accomplished that! Right down to the clearances between the cabinet doors and stiles. Perfect spot for shoes under the new pots/pans cabinets.
