New Radar Arch and fold down galley seat

Post by kolive »

I just finished building and installing a Radar Arch and Fold Down galley seat in our 1970 A25 "Leighway". I posted photos on the Albin Yahoo photo site and will try getting them on here as well.

The seat is made of Quilted Maple, Tiger Maple and Cherry. It is taken from a design I saw on Joel and Margaret's "Tern II" when we were last in Friday Harbor.

The arch is made of stainless, with some 60 degree rail fittings and tee's right off the shelf and stainless bows bent by a canvas maker. I added "Starboard" slats so we can tie on Kayaks and other things such as the crab pot pictured.

I cannot seem to get a good photo of the seat online here. IT comes out looking very ugly. Try the Albin photo site, http://groups.yahoo.com/group/AlbinPhotos/ if you want better pictures. Also, maybe someone can help me get them right on this site.

Thanks,

Keith in the other Washington.
