New to Albin

Post by bremnoda »

After decades of fuel-guzzling rocket-cruisers, I've finally come to my senses! Just purchased a solid but tatty Albin 25. Newer Yanmar FWC, good electronics, everything works. She's going for a short (4 day) cruise on Desolation Sound (off Vancouver Island), then onto a trailer for a 1500km trip to my home workshop in Alberta for a complete refit. With luck, back in the water in time for some glorious September cruising. I'm a licenced mechanic, and I have built over a dozen wooden boats, so hopefully I'll do a "proper" job on the little Albin. She performed like a little champ on her sea trial in Juan de Fuca Strait - can't wait to start really logging up some hours on her!!
