A quick splash finally

Post by 2manyboats »

Since my road trip last November and buying the boat, doctor and hospital visits have interfered with plans; However I have rebuilt the trailer with new axles; disk brakes, lines, master cylinder, lights and wiring; 15" tires and rims, and a new trailer tongue. Inside the boat I have rearranged the electronics, added my 10" Lowrance plotter and added a new Sitex Radar.

We launched last Monday and have spent our time chugging around Tampa Bay and cleaning the interior. The boat runs great and is everything I hoped it would be.

Now the bad news; Hauled the boat today and going under the Knife again tomorrow;; Hopefully in 3-4 weeks we can finally get back overboard and actually spend a couple of days cruising.

Sorry I do not have any pictures to post. I took one in the marina at MacDill AFB, and it is a little blurry; with the SP patrol boat in the background, it looks like I have a pair of 250 Verados on the stern.

Hi Wayne

Good luck with the surgery, you'll have plenty of time to map out your projects while you are recovering.

Nothing like having a target to speed recovery and messing about in boats is good for body and soul.
Good luck and fair winds.

I'd like to thank everyone for their well wishes. Surgery went well, both incisions seem to be healing. Walking and sitting down getting easier every day. It will probably be a couple of weeks before I can get back to putzing with the boat, maybe 3 weeks before I'll take it out again. This has given me the time to shop for "boat stuff". My wife is right spending money is therapeutic.
