"New" 35 CB

Post by BobHaze »

Not sure if I'm bragging or just announcing, but we closed on our new '04 35 Command Bridge last week and a friend and I delivered her home from Rockland, ME, to Cape Cod this week: 240 miles in 2 days with a stop over for the night in Gloucester. Cool weather, to be sure, but clear skies, calm seas, virtually no wind...couldn't have been better conditions for my first time at sea on this boat. She performed beautifully, ran a steady 18 kts at 2800 rpm, and I couldn't be happier. Now to decide where to start spending more money! lol

Congratulations, Bob. It's new, go ahead and brag! Buyers remorse takes a while longer.

2 things I'm looking for in the boat that I can't seem to find:
- the "permanently affixed" Official Number that is "not less than three inches in height"; and
- a shore-water connection (not the water tank fill). Is there one on an '04 35 CB?

Any ideas?

Hi Bob I have the same boat and my dock side water inlet is to port of the cabin door below the step, I don't know if it was factory installed or not but would be easy to add by removing the cabinet next to the oven. I'am guessing you are looking for a documentation number and that would be added by the previous owner and could be anywhere , I'am the third owner of my boat and the number does not exist to the hull. I have installed numbers before , all you need is 3 inch stick on numbers and fiberglass cloth and resin from west marine and put them in the hull. best spot would be next to your rear bilge pump . I saw your boat on yacht world and it looks great ! I also have the flag blue awlgrip and love the boat !
Congratulations on the new boat

Thanks for the information, Going Coastal. The PO said he knows nothing about the Official Number or shoreside water, but I'll look below the step and see if it's an Albin installation.
We plan to take the boat south down the ICW the fall. We'll likely stop in Annapolis to visit a friend - maybe we'll see you there.
