I would suggest wiper arms and blades be purchased at Defender. Prices are much lower and delivery is rather quick.

True enough, but in this case I had to compare the new and old arms and wipers side by side.
As luck would have it, my local West Marine had the exact replacement, all 6 pieces, AND I have a Port Supply discount card with WM.
Full price for the complete set of 6 pieces would be $190,50 with sales tax, I paid $131,80.
Not sure if Defender could meet or beat it, looked briefly at their site and did not see my Marinco arms # 33010A or blade # 33015.

I just cut my wiper arms off with a standard Dremel cutting wheel per suggestion here - was really seized on there but I had that sucker off in about 2 minutes.

Mine were from a UK supplier called Aquafax just a few miles away from me.

Thanks for the quick reply and I will keep looking on the US east coast.

Re: Wipers installed

I recently started converting the wipers on my '05 28TE to pantographs. The old wiper motors (AFI 2000's, which are no longer available) have 3.5" shafts. I'm planning to replace these motors with AFI 1.5 type. My question is if anyone has switched from the long 3.5" motor shafts to the 2.5" shafts. If so, were there any issues with the installation or operation of the 2.5" motors?
Thanks!

I replaced one of mine with the current model. I’ve also converted three albins to pantograph. Two 2000 models and a 2005 model. The 2005 had significantly longer shafts on the wiper motors but it made no difference to the installation of the pantograph.

I’ll try and find my invoice for my new AFI motor. It is also worth noting that the AFI stuff is expensive. Over here they’re around £150 more than the next type. I kept the AFI motor so it was almost the same as the current motors - My OCD wouldn’t let me otherwise hahaha!
