vacuum pump generator issue

Post by gmberkley »

maybe this will help someone............over the weekend I turned on my vacuum generator at the panel and nothing happened, the lights on the tank indicator did light up, but the pump did not turn on. After checking things, I manually operated the vacuum switch, I moved the springs in and out, and the pump came right on, so I exercised it a bit more, then sprayed WD-40 on it, and so far so good.

WD-40 to the rescue, I did order a replacement part, which came in on Saturday, I'll have it on hand in case it happens again, and simply replace it, easy access, hoping it shouldn't be a big project, but.......................the projects that appear to be small take hours and hours, and the ones expected to be a real killer aren't so bad. We'll see sooner than later.
