Electric Switch/breaker Panel

Post by gcmarshall »

Hi all -

Has anyone replaced the electric panel on their 28TE? It looks to be 10.5" x 6.5". Was looking for a readily available one I could buy, but can't find any stock options that can fit. I have a few switches that are stiff, one not working at all... and working behind there, via the access point in the head, with the hydraulic steering hoses to the helm blocking access.... is not easy.

Up to this point I have been reluctant to change it, as clearly it was very well built, as this would have been from 2005. Hoping I can swap it out for a nice new one of similar quality.... and use the opportunity to tidy up the wiring a bit. So am open to suggestions.

Gary

I went thru this process and new wire marine made the panel for me. I’d send them a couple of photos and see if they can reman what you have and make it plug and play. I went with an updated look and I can tell you it was a heck of a project that snowballed but the end result was worth it

Boats are like strippers. They quit when you stop throwing $100 bills at them.
