94-95 Peninsular Glow Plug Sensor Update

Post by jcollins »

Tuxedo reminded me to contact Peninsular. I did. They were very helpful and offered a couple of solutions. One is the kit that moves the sensor futher from the engine. The second is the manual glow plug switch that someone mentioned here.
The third is "pour a glass of water over the sensor to cool it down". "That will prove that it's really the sensor problem and not a impending problem with the injection pump". So, I'll try that first. The guy I talked told me it probably really is the heat problem. The kit is no longer available under warranty. About 80.00.

Thanks Tuxedo!
