4th Place not so Bad for the Albin

Post by AlanD »

We entered a fishing tournement on Lake Michigan with the Albin (9 Rod Max, Top 5 Fish Weight). Funny to see a couple of New England fisherman with a New England boat out there in that pack. As one of the other captain's told me, "If you do something stupid out there with that boat, everybody will know it is you."

Anyway, pouring rain all day, miserable weather and some serious work for the boat, we ended up with a 5 fish weight of 43.9 Pounds. Less then 1 pound from 3rd and actually winning cash. We were pleased, my 12 year old son did most of the fish fighting, which was even better.

Sounds like it was a good day to be on an Albin. Nice going - any pics?

Yeah we did not disgrace the Albin name! No Pics, it was brutal rain and wind all day! But I need to upload some recent picks of the boat decked out in her fishing splendor, did a lot of modifications out here without drilling holes throughout her, and it seems to work.

Ladies Tourney is Aug 2nd and my wife is actually excited to fish. There is a god.
