Looking for Owners Manual

Post by sulli »

I have a 1988 Albin27 Sport with an Isuzu six cylinder diesel.

I have been tracing down a starter issue, turns out the starter is bad.

The problem is no one in town knows what a replacement starter is.

I need and am willing to pay for an owners manual for my 1988 27S Albin.

Or if anyone knows what is a good replacement starter I would greatly appreciate any information.

Mike,

I think your engine is a 5.8 liter Isuzu 6BD1. If so, this starter *should* fit it

I'd take your old one off and compare it with the pictures, especially comparing the mounting configuration. Also, you might message the seller and ask if they know if it will fit a Marine 6BD1

My neighbor has a skid steer with a Perkins engine. When the starter went out, they wanted almost $600 for a new one. I found him one on eBay for $88 and it was a perfect fit

Most larg town have places that rebuild starters.
Just take it out and have it rebuilt. Reworked
