Fuel tank size

Post by sailingzeus »

I have a 2005 28TE, can anybody, with certainty, tell me what is the size of the fuel tank 132 or 165 gallons?

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Thank you

Rule of thumb is that Flush Decks are 165, motor boxes are 130ish. There have been variations in earlier models. Mine is a flush deck and has a nameplate right on top. Lift the hatch and look around, mine is near the fuel line fittings.

I pulled up to the fuel dock yesterday thinking I was running on fumes (gauge teetering on E). She took 127 gallons from E to full. I curiously checked AOG when fueling and this thread got me thinking... I really pushed my luck. Checked my fuel tank plate when I was cleaning the boat and my fuel capacity is actually 161 gallons.

2004 Albin Flush Deck - 161 gallons.

Wanted to update the thread with the last posting being the same model/year and 127 gallons. I suppose you won't know for sure until you check the plate on your tank.

Dumb question where does the flush deck get the extra fuel capacity from,i have an engine box and have never been on a flush deck?

Curios if maybe when i replace my tank i could opt for the bigger one?

I have a 2005 TE Flush Deck, I'm told it's one of four made that year to fish the Canyons, I was also told it has a 165 gallon fuel tank, I can't find a plate on the poly tank. On a few occasions the gauge on the tank shows half full, and I've fueled it and placed anywhere from 60 - 80 gallons to fill it, so I have to assume the tank does in fact hold somewhere around 160 gallons.
