Update. We now have 12 boats for the Chesapeake Bay rendezvous, June 23 to 25, Zanhiser's in Solomons: Balboita, Compadre, Mazboot (got the message about double "coverage"), Blu Bay Ewe, HerBoat, Quest, Remedy, Dancer, Salty Dog, Power Tower, Mary Jo and Searenity.
Trying to get a speaker for Saturday am from Md. Pilot's Association on what pilots have to deal with on the Chesapeake, especially with the new super-fleet of ships. I attended a seminar on this in February and I was very impressed with what these pilots have to deal with. Some interesting stories and advice.
Re: places to anchor if you arrive in the area before Friday: up Mill Creek in Solomons is a great anchorage. Also, Zanhiser's has nine first-come moorings on the north side for $30 a night, which you could use until the rendezvous starts.
