One might think there were more available in New England but not so. The only one is in Rhode Island, completely non-working.

Will travel within reason.

It's a very tough market to buy a boat - any boat. Prior to the pandemic, it was common to see 20-30 28TE's on the market at any given time.

Agree, the used boat market is nuts, great time to sell, not a good time to buy.
I am not selling, but if I was going to sell my tub, $100k may or may not take it.

I know I did just sell a boat at almost what I paid 6 years ago which is unprecedented. I figure all the people buying boats now don’t know the nature of being a true blue love of it and will sell in a couple years. But I can’t wait that long!

ksea, I agree that a lot of boats will come on the market sometime. Last year, I thought it would be this year, but I'm revising that to next year. Unfortunately, they may be somewhat neglected at that point.

The 28FC is going to be especially hard to find since there were so few of them made.

There was a 30' FC in New York listed that was a 2005 with all bells and whistles for $69,000. It had low hours and was mechanically good but it looked like the exterior needed a good acid wash and compound. I'll see if I can find it and post it to you.

Are you still interested in a Albin 28 TE FD?

Just put mine up for sale, it is in WA, but comes with a very large sturdy trailer and travels very well.

I don’t know much information about this boat so don’t shoot the messenger. It’s a 2001 Yanmar 300 hp with just over a 1000 hours. $65,000. The owner might be on the forum. I just know the man selling it for him. My sell is 410-708-1709. I’ll post an add the for sale section

Are you referring to the 28 in Newport for 47k? Was curious about that one and thinking about a trip to see it. Has a Peninsular. Not working?

We are considering offering our 2009 TE Newport Edition for sale located New Bedford MA. Likely one of the very last built, it was not put into service until 2012 because a Maryland dealer held on to it hoping C&C Marine would restart the line. We are the third owner. Second owner used it part of one season due to health issues, and the boat was laid up 2017-2018 until we purchased in late 2019. In spring 2020 we had Niemiec Marine, New Bedford MA completely go through the boat, check every bit and replace anything suspect. We too are former sailors, and hoped that we'd use the boat more than we have but power boating is just not our thing. It has under 500 hours on the Cummins/Merc engine, new 4D AGM DEKA batteries installed this spring, and well maintained for winter/spring service by Niemiec Marine. All systems work well. Let me know what you think and we can talk further if you are interested.
