I talked with our port supply rep as West Marine can no longer get the product so I had questions. He said good product no issues just a political thing not being able to rep the product.

All the reviews I’ve seen have been good. As good or better than flowscan. But their customer service isn’t really good at helping you figure out installs outside their normal installs (I was looking at them for detroits)

It's a pretty easy install and the N2K should also be easy. They have a pretty good tool (software) apparently to troubleshoot communication issues. The key is the correct flow meter for max diesel flow I believe. I'm getting pricing or trying to from Hodges Marine. Have a local supplier as well but he went straight list and I don't ever pay that if I can help it.

Mike,

I installed the FMM 100 monitors and connected to the backbone - it shows up on the devices but my Simrad Evo 3 wont let me configure properly- currently only showing me fuel temp - not sure if I need to buy a separate Maretron monitoring screen or if I can down load software to the Simrad Evo 3. I will have to call Maretron and find out the next step. If you know how to do please advise.

Thank you
Tom

Tom contact Simrad tech folks. I haven’t gotten mine yet but the documentation for the flows should tell you what N2K network settings you need. Then verify on the Simrad you have the network configured correctly. I’m assuming you are seeing fuel temp on the Simrad. If that’s the case the networks are talking. It’s just making sure the flow is coming thru. Maretron has a network diagnostic tool that seems pretty good.

Should be able to input the K factor (identifies which sensor you have) and allow for differential mode for the return fuel sensor. I will send Simrad an email.

Ok so I tried the Maretrone USB 100 to configure and no luck - looks like I will have to buy the Maretron 410 monitor.

I downloaded the Maretron N2K analyzer software and finally configured the FM 100's - my Simrad Evo 3 recognizes it now just fine.
I picked up a Maretron monitor but really don't need it so I am returning it. Look forward to going on a trip now.

We use a similar software to check network traffic for my day job. Glad you figured it out and posted the update.
