metal hoops for cleats - where to source?

Post by SalishAire »

Looking back it seems several folk have found sources for the metal hoops for the original wooden dowel cleats. Hyacinth has originals on the bow and stern but very small stainless cleats midship so I would like to replace the midship cleats with a set of wooden ones. I am looking for sources for the metal hoops (or asking if anyone has a couple of sets gathering dust in the attic).

Thanks

They may be available from Plastimo. They're listed as dock bollards, not cleats. Not sure if they're still available. SeveraI years back I bought a pair of teak bar cleats, identicle to the OEM ones, online from Foresti Suardi to install as midship cleats. They were not cheap, $50 each. Again, not sure if they're still available. Previous owners replaced the bow cleat wirh a samson post, so the only original bar cleats on the boat are the stern cleats.

Update: They are listed in Plastimo's online web site.
Bollards.jpg
https://www.plastimo.com/en/taquet-teck ... -9971.html

Under "Where to Buy" Plastimo lists two US dealers, one in SoCal, the other in Florida.

Both listed as "Bainbridge", one at 15242 Transistor Lane, Huntington Beach, CA 92649. Phone 714 373 3322. The other at 2580 North Powerline Road, Pompano Beach, FL 33069. Phone 954 532 7557. However on the BainbridgeInt website they don't list the teak bollards.

So if that doesn't work try this UK website:
