How to remove a nameplate?

Post by SalishAire »

Hyacinth's original "Alvin 25" and "Delux" nameplates are in really good condition. We are closing in (finally!!!) on painting the decks and would like to remove the nameplates rather than brush around them. Any suggestions????

I, not too long ago, removed all the Scion xB doodahs with a heat gun, putty knives and patience. Easy on the heat gun. Hopefully I won't need them in the future.

I am putting that deck painting project off as long as I can. New mattress is in and the Starfleet Command found a leak from one of the teak grabbars on the roof on the very day we removed the winter cover. Off they came and new galvy rails to match the hardtop went in. A project I was hoping to avoid for now so close to launching. Thus I am patching/painting more sections of deck when I should just do the whole thing. Maybe next winter.
