Nordhavn to Albin

Post by SalishAire »

Clarice and I recently sold our home/boat a Nordhavn 46 (Salishaire.blogspot.com) that carried us from Seward Alaska to Puerto Vallarta Mexico and moved back into a terrestrial home near the Salish Sea. Moving back ashore doesn't mean that we want a divorce from boating but rather a change in venue. We actually looked very hard at some Albins a number of years ago before buying a Rosborough 246. It was a great boat for when we had (sorry for using a 4 letter word) to work for a living. Now in retirement and well familiar with sloboat travel we want to again look for an Albin that we can put on a trailer in our backyard when we are not using it.

So if anyone knows of a 25 or 27 for sale or coming up for sale (anywhere in N America - retirement allows versatility) at a fair price for condition (we are pretty comfortable at rehabbing boats but a turnkey boat would be nice too) please send us a note.

Welcome SalishAire, Norman and Clarice!

It seems the good deals on A25s is anywhere east of us here in the PNW. Almost every A25 is a project. Having rehabbed boats you know this well.

Good luck in your search. Does anyone know if CoolChange sold his A27 in Portland? I vaguely remember seeing a For Sale notice on that boat. Apologies if my assumptions are wrong.

Edit: Yup. Look at this link.
