Hair of the dog new owner

Post by Buddy28TE »

All,

It is a such a pleasure to meet you all. JB strongly encouraged me to join and introduce myself. I am a lifetime boat owner of 30 years and up until today, I have never owned an Albin. I am so honored that JB Kraft sold me his beautiful 28TE. It is absolutely the most beautiful boat I have ever owned. I live near DC in Alrington and keep my boat at Hartge Yacht Harbor. I am looking forward to getting to know you all and make some new friends here. I have two kids 18 and 21 and both are in college and have been married for almost 25 years. I grew up on the great lakes starting with a sea ray, Chris Craft, Egg Harbor and Jefferson. Excited to hear about all of the amazing things you have done with your Albins.

Hi Shawn - congratulations and welcome aboard! Yes, you're a lucky and smart guy to have snagged JB's gorgeous boat. You come from a long line of really nice boats yourself. What drew you to the 28TE?

Welcome aboard, Shawn! Your boat is the reason I have an Albin. I grew up on center consoles and was looking at walkarounds, Rampages, and some other manufacturers knowing I wanted to upsize and experience overnights on a boat. JB is a good friend of mine and once he took me out for a run on Hair of the Dog I knew instantly I needed an Albin. Here I am 2 boating seasons later happy as can be. These boats can handle anything the bay throws at us.

Each year the community does a Chesapeake Rendezvous. The location changes year to year and this year we were right across the bay from your marina at Knapps Narrows Marina. Hope to see you at future year's Rendezvous.

You purchased one of the nicest Albin 28s out there.

Best,
Brian

Nancy,

Thanks so much for the reply and yes I know how lucky I am. Honestly, I took one look at the pictures online and I knew instantly after looking for over 6 months that this was the one!
