Boatless

Post by Jeremyvmd »

Thats right for the first time in a very long time i am boatless. This past sunday my beloved shady lady went to her new home, and the sunday previous my cat (purrspective) left for her new home I have to admit im sad to see them go, but they will allow me to upgrade my boat situation. Tomorrow i have a survey and sea trial on a 1982 post 42 from fellow member Taggteam. Im not expecting any issues and super excited to be "moving up". took photos of the girls as they left on new adventures

Great shot of the Albin. Mother Nature is being VERY kind to you - hope all goes well tomorrow. You'll be "moving up" literally. Nothing beats the visibility of running the boat from the bridge. And the big heavy boat with twins and big diesel props - you'll be able to put that thing anywhere.

I wish I could take credit for the photo but I just held up the camera and snapped the photo lol. Mother Nature gave me the perfect shot. Just waiting on the report from the survey now.

Been busy the past few months with the boat search and buying a new house and then doing a bunch of renovations so I figured I would chime back in.

Still boatless. After four failed surveys, and one boat that we kept having to reschedule due to engine repair troubles (couldn’t get parts) I’m still looking. Currently have an offer in on a 45 Viking, trying to stay optimistic but after 5 failed attempts I’m not getting my hopes up. Lol

Good to hear from you, Jeremy! It's such a tough market to buy a boat. Keep looking! After this Covid craze, things are going to shake loose and prices will come down.

Yea I’m figuring 2 years from now the market should be fairly inundated but waiting that long isn’t an option lol

Keep your head high! I just got my Albin 28 TE earlier this month... after seeing a dozen boats and going under contract on 3 of them that all fell through due to issues found through surveys/sea trials. Everything will fall into place, hoping it does soon so you can enjoy a boat part of this season. Best of luck in your search!

I feel your pain. It's been 8 months and I'm getting anxious. I've had one maybe, but at this point it looks like a dry summer for the crew.

For a couple of years we were talking about the 31. But most recently the 36 ET. Marko has very nice one but timing isn't right for us.
