Florida rendezvous (was Southern)

Post by jcollins »

I've seen some posts that show interest in getting together. If someone is interested in coordinating the southern rendezvous let me know.

Thanks,

John

There are 3 or 4 in the St Pete area, including Bill Eibach who used to head this up. All of us are familiar with Burnt Store. With Bill's help, John, I would work at organizing a rendezvous. How many are interested? And for the East coast crowd, a trip through the locks in say March and a liitle cruise up to Burnt Store (a nice day from Ft Myers) can be a fun trip. Any interest?

We would very much desire to attend a Southern Rendezvous @ Burnt Store Marina. That's close to us since we live in Cape Coral. Please keep us informed as planning continues.

I love it when a plan starts to come together. Looks like I'm in for a trip to Florida. 8) Burnt store sounds like a great place.

I've been away for a while. I didn't realize there are so many of you in our area. We just bought a place at Burnt Store and are having a 28te surveyed on Dec.6. I'm like a nervous mommy-to-be. Our first baby. We are already at Burnt Store so it will be really easy for us to attend.

would the owner who attended the 2008 rendezvous and contacted Bill Eibach suggesting a 2011 in the Ft Myers area get in touch with me so we can coordinate?

One of the attendees at an earlier Albin rendezvous organized by Bill Eibach has begun efforts to contact all the owners previously known as the Florida Albin Owners Club with the intent of having a rendezvous at the Cape Harbor Community Marina in Cape Coral, FL., in the last week or two of March. He is unaware of AOG but I will coordinate with him to bring all Albin owners together. Cape Harbor looks like an interesting location, and a lock to enter it's waterways. Will those folks interested in a rendezvous at that time and location let us know? Thanks and let's make this a BIG event.

We're from St. Pete and would prefer Burnt Store to Cape Harbour.

I live in Burnt Store Marina and for those not familiar check out this website. Burnt store has a lot to offer.

I will likely attend at either location.

Hi Chuck,

I would like to make a reservation for the Florida Rendezvous in March. I have a 95 Albin 32 Sportfisherman Cruiser, Get Aweigh, out of Tampa. I will need a slip for the nights of 3/22, 23, & 24 with a 30 A shore power. Also, please count me in for your departure on Monday 3/21 for the overnight at Cayo Costa. Looking forward to meeting other Albin owners in the area.
