it does look a little low for space station, but also liiks quite high to have been taken from anaircraft .

For starters, I would assume no aircraft would be near that air-space during a launch. Second, I also have some reservations about that photo.

True if it was a private plane but that shot, if real, is from pretty high (look at the horizon), could be an 'official' observation shot. Actually, I'm inclined to believe the picture is real, just the 'from the space station' bit has me doubtful.

The picture looks real to me. But I'd be willing to guess it's from some sort of official observation plane. However, the altitude is extremely high, as you can see the darkness of space in the top of the photo. It very well could be the space station.
