NC Rendezvous

Post by kjg1951 »

Hi all..... I hope to be able to put together a great NC rendezvous. I have been in touch with Dowery Creek Marina in Bellhaven N.C. I was thinking of early may after all the april showers pass... Any thoughts or ideas are welcome and other suggestions of where we might hold the event. I need to make a decession soon as i want to make sure the marina can accomodate the number of boats we might have... I would think we need at least 10 boats to get it going. I am going so now we only need 9 more !!!!! I will do my best to have a great Rendezvous here in the North Carolina waters...

That would be great--thank you for taking the initiative! We would certainly be interested in going.

I would really like to come. Need a fairly firm date before I can make a firm commitment.

I also would like to come, but it's a way's out and need to try to work out some dates. Lets see what is the NC group consensus for the first three weekends in May. The Belhaven location is good. Kevin, thanks for taking on the coordinator job.

Kevin,
We too are interested but will also need firm dates. It's an overnighter to get there and I'll be working (usually have Friday's off), so I'll have to plan my time off. We've plenty of time for planning with the biggest item probably being slips and rates. Thanks for the initiative.

p.s. Maybe next Spring we can do a North & South Carolina Rendezvous in Southport, NC, a midway point for all, which we could coordinate from here, so keep good notes to share.
