New Albin 28TE 2002 Boston MA

Post by jwhitaker6019 »

Just became new owners of a 2002 28TE. Previous owner took good care of her. We are naming her "Big Blue" in honor of Blue, our Britanny who passed last fall due to cancer. I'm a real big fan of this boat. I like the single screw. wide hull, downeast style. Our first born George who is only 5 months old is going to love growing up on this. I come from a 18 ft wahoo outboard center console. I trailer that and we plan to keep it for road trips and going up to the lakes. been doing this since I was a child but didn't become a boat owner until 2010. newly minted 28Te owner as of this month. super excited to take her up the coast and cruise with the family. we keep her up the mystic river in Medford MA.

Congratulations! Great choice for a growing family. I don't have kids, but have my 3yo - 7yo godchildren out frequently. Love the deck space for them to roam with the high gunnels. They also enjoy the cabin; it's like a fort for kids! Funny enough, I was detailing my boat yesterday and my slip neighbors (sail boaters) were admiring my large deck. They said when they have their grandkids, they wish there was more deck space for them to enjoy.

These boats are multi-purpose; from fishing to cruising to rafting up with others and enjoying lunch.

Welcome to the family and enjoy!

Welcome to the fold. We too just became new owners and are really enjoying the mild weather we're having in New England. Drop us a note when you come down South and check out Buzzards Bay. There are quite a few owners down here.

Enjoy your Summer.

Congrats on the new boat, we are just down the street in Fairhaven, Ma, we have a 2005 TE Flush deck, you'll find there's a lot to learn about the boat, and this forum is a huge asset, the people on it are knowledgeable, very helpful and patient. best of luck.
