Boston stripers

Post by Legacy »

Striper fishing was lousy yesterday, outstanding, at least for me, today. 10 fish over 30 pounds, one tipping the scales at 44. We were on my pal's Hinckley center console, the first Hinckley with a live well! We used Shimano butterfly jigs.

Will post photos soon.

Fishing in Boston

Post by RicM »

Rick:

Sounds like a great day. The harbors here are innundated with pogies. We've been snagging right in Wickford Harbor then livelining close by in the bay. While snagging pogies for bait Friday morning I had a 25# bass crash the pogie I was hauling in. Truly an awesome experience on light spinning tackle. Looking forward to trying your techniques in Boston next week!

Wickford Harbor

Post by RicM »

This is the fish we caught about 1/8 mile from the dock in Wickford harbor Friday morning. I figured we burned about 4-6 ounces of diesel to get this big fella'. We then spent the rest of the day finding nothing. What's the old saying? Never leave fish to find fish. LOL
